Ambi Parmeswaran

Dr. Ambi Parameswaran is a distinguished Indian author, advertising veteran, and branding expert whose career spans over three decades in the field of marketing and communications. A former Executive Director and CEO of FCB Ulka Advertising, he has played a pivotal role in shaping some of India’s most memorable advertising campaigns, blending creativity with a deep understanding of Indian culture and consumer behavior. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he later earned his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, where his research explored the intersection of religion, culture and marketing themes that continue to influence his professional and literary pursuits. As an author, Dr. Parameswaran has written several acclaimed books, including For God’s Sake: An Adman on the Business of Religion, Nawabs, Nudes, Noodles: India Through 50 Years of Advertising, Sponge: Leadership Lessons I Learnt from My Clients, and Spring: Bouncing Back from Rejection.
